'This is a good school where pupils achieve well.' OFSTED 2011

Thank you very much for visiting the Churchwood Community Primary School website. We hope to have included many of the elements that we consider make Churchwood special. It will give you a feel for what we offer, value, achieve and aspire to attain.

Churchwood is a community primary school providing a good education for children between the ages of two and eleven. We are situated in the picturesque setting of Church Wood. The school provides an excellent learning environment having benefited from a recent multi-million pound refurbishment. We are further complemented by state-of-the-art ICT facilities and a large playing field. We have just over 200 children who are organized into seven single age classes. We also have a thriving nursery and pre-nursery on site.

We have high expectations of our pupils and work to ensuring everybody achieves their very best. 'Pupils really enjoy school and achieve well in their academic work and in their personal development. They display good attitudes in class, where they are attentive, cooperative, interested and keen to do well' (OFSTED 2011).

Churchwood is committed to working in partnership with its parents. You are always welcome to contact the school to discuss your child. We will always do our best to try to help you.

This website can only give a snapshot of Churchwood. We welcome visitors to the school, so do not hesitate to contact us if you would like the opportunity to experience life at Churchwood first-hand.

Welcome to Churchwood Community Primary School
